|  Provider Profile Sang U. Kim, M.D. Sang U. Kim M.D., joined Overlake Internal Medicine Associates in 2001. Dr. Kim was born in South Korea and immigrated to the United States as a young boy. He received his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Washington. Then, he received his Doctor of Medicine from University of Washington. He completed his Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship from University of Washington Medical Center and affiliated hospitals, including Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.
He sees patients in all areas of gastroenterology. His interests include: colon cancer screening, reflux disease, Barrett's esophagus, dyspepsia, H. pylori, gastric cancer prevention and early detection, inflammatory bowel disease, liver diseases, hepatitis B and C, and endoscopic mucosal resections.
He is also fluent in Korean. He enjoys golf, skiing, hiking, soccer, music of various genre, and variety of ethnic food.
He enjoys caring for his patients, one patient at a time, with competence and compassion.
